My Reflective Learning Journal

One thing I learnt this week was..
that we need to use life jackets for fishing, canoeing, boat, jet skiing.

I was learning this...
so we all can be safe around  the sea.

when I am going in the water I can float.

A question I now have is...
how do we know that we have the right life jacket on.

Next week I need to work on...
my swimming lessons.

Long Bay Beach

YIPPEE!! I’m going to Long Bay Beach.  I was singing and dancing when I changed into
my togs, then my picnic clothes.  First I had to go to my friends house to pick her up.  When we got to the picnic, my friend and I bought an ice-cream.  We went up the hill and sang the best day ever!  My friends baby cousin got some suncream off me and rubbed her cute face.

Next we went to have a look at the beautiful flowers, we took videos and photos.  My brother and I were hungry and the other people were too.  So we went back to the picnic spot.  We had chicken and very spicy chili pancakes and meat balls.

I finished first because I really wanted to go for a swim, so I changed my clothes, and my took my friends to the beach.  We were so excited!  I jumped into the water, it was so cold that all I did was stand in the water and bite my nails like I was scared.

My friend’s baby brother, Sahil, splashed water on me.  Then I did the same to him, he looked so cute I had to take care of him, when the big wave came he was laughing instead of crying.

I was a bit surprised then in the 2 next minutes he started to shiver, finally his mum came to get him and he got changed.  I asked my friend,  ‘’Should we change now?’’  She said,  “In a minute.’’

Then we made a sandcastle mermaid and we said, ‘’Should we stand and jump on it?”
so we stomped and ran all over it we pushed each other and we got sand all over us I ran
in the water and dived in, the sand finally went away.

Then we got changed, because it was nearly time to go home.  The shower so cold it felt like an ice cube my friend said then hurry up I quickly got my bag and went to the changing room.My best friend came in and we both hurried to play on the playground.

We had chips and juice after we finished it was time to go home.  It was the best day ever for everyone who came to the picnic.
