Eastern Beach Recount

Eastern Beach Recount

It was a grey morning, it looked like I woke up early and the seagulls was screaming at each other, my slow eater brother and I had to skedaddle to school because my brother eats so slow It was 8.25 and I thought we were going to be late so I walked up stairs and down until my brother finally finish drinking his milo, On the way people to school In the car I kept watching the clock When we hopped out of the car I ran and ran as fast as I could when I arrived in class guess what I saw, I saw a few people in the room and some other people were outside playing, so much for running and saying hurry up!

When the second bell rang I saw parents and  little kids sitting on the bench and all the students that were part of Panmure Bridge School had to go in class and wait for their teachers to say the roll. When when they finished saying the roll everyone pushed in line and headed to the bus. After a while we arrived at the beach and we all ran out of the bus. A few people were stretching and yawning, Ms Kirkpatrick and Mr Johnston were already there in their swimming suits. We sat down in our classes and listened to Mr Johnston tell us the rules so we would not hurt ourselves.

As soon as Mr Johnston finished his short speech, we all jumped up and hopped away to rest our bottoms on the green and yellow grass. I gobbled my scrumptious morning tea and quickly got changed because I was in the second kayaking group and I had to be ready as soon as the first group had finished.

After all that excitement about going on the kayaks I kept squashing my little thumb. Oh my gosh Ms Kirkpatrick expected us to walk on the kayaks too! When I saw them, in my mind I mumbled, trying to say “Phew!’’ At least that is not me grumbling and going across, but we had to hold each others ropes so our kayaks made a straight line to walk over.

Finally Tienira and I made it to the finish line. On the way back to shore I thought about how we learnt how to paddle backwards and forwards, play of tiggy and walk across the row of boats.

When we finished  we had  a chance to dip ourselves in the cold sea. It was freezing but the other
kids seemed warm and cosy in the H2O.  Well, I was freezing so I quickly returned to the sand. On the way to the girls dressing I almost tripped and, the cheeky piece of the tree was in my way, really embarrassing
and when I got back  I found heaps of sand on my towel. Samira, Asmah, Zeba and I had

our meal. I was first to finish eating but then I had to sip my lovely medication [not].  It took me along time just to finish drinking that horrible medicine, really to tell the truth, I was just chit chatting along.

At last I was free to have fun. We played Dodge ball but there was no place to run or hide well.  There was places to hide but not run, so I had to jump and I almost fell onto a humongous bag that apparently belonged to a teacher that needed everything!
I was truly tired and when I heard it was time to go back to school. I stomped and moaned but that didn’t mean that I was furious.

On the way back all I did was sit and frown. When we arrived at school we waited till the school bell rang then I ran home.
